InkEdit™ uses advanced Pico laser technology to safely and effectively break down tattoo and permanent makeup (PMU) pigment. The ultra-fast pulses of light shatter ink particles into tiny fragments, which are then naturally cleared away by the body’s immune system. This technology allows for precise targeting of ink while minimizing damage to the surrounding skin, making it safe for delicate areas like brows and eyeliner PMU as well as larger body tattoos.
Your skin will be cleansed and prepped, and protective eyewear will be applied. The Pico laser is then directed over the tattoo or PMU area, delivering rapid pulses to break up the ink. The sensation feels like a series of quick snaps or heat against the skin. Sessions typically last 15–45 minutes, depending on the size and complexity of the tattoo.
After treatment, the area may be red, swollen, or blistered, similar to a fresh tattoo. Healing generally takes 3–4 days for PMU and smaller tattoos, and up to 1 week for larger body areas.
Aftercare includes:
- Gently cleanse the area twice a day
- Keeping the area clean and dry
- Applying healing ointment as directed

You may see lightening after the first session, but tattoos and PMU typically require a series of 4–10 treatments depending on ink depth, color, and age of the tattoo. Lighter colors and older ink often fade faster, while darker or newer tattoos may take more sessions. Results are permanent once the ink is fully cleared, provided no new pigment is added.
